Libraries Unlimited

Wet the pavement outside Exeter central library this summer and poetry will reveal!

The Reboot project working with Libraries Unlimited provided an opportunity to create hydrophobic poetry on the pavements outside Exeter central library. Words were laser cut on site with the FabLab, laid on the pavement and a special water repellent fluid applied. Stone natural darkens with rain, but the protected areas remain dry and therefore light, revealing the poetry.

I've a few future applications for this technology, but the simple hunting with water across the yard with visiting families was great fun.
